We seek to support entities who are enhancing skills of Previously Disadvantaged Individuals.

In this regard we have supported Masibambane College (MC), a school in Orange Farm to the south of Johannesburg. Apart from their normal schooling functions, MC also runs an AIDS Orphan programme to approximately 70 orphans. Part of this programme is to ensure that orphans are fed at least 1 meal per day. We have assisted in teaching cost effective ways of farming and providing an employee at the school to focus on this. Farming of vegetables and crops occurred on the school grounds.

We assist child charities with their facilities.

We have a collection box for a nominated charity, CHOC, to which staff contribute on an as and when basis, and on casual Fridays. We have also supported this charity via donations of second hand kitchens, toilets, carpeting and so forth following office renovations. We do not send out birthday and seasonal cards, and prefer to donate the costs involved to CHOC.

We have also supported the Village Safe Haven, a foster home for abandoned and abused children in Buccleuch, with donations of second hand kitchens, toilets, carpeting and so forth following office renovations.

We aim to develop individuals who have bleak futures.

We identified a person who had been begging. We started a Payroll Division which he now runs.
This employee gets, in addition to his salary, 10% of the after-tax profits from this Division.

We do not believe in paying money for the sake of earning points on a BEE/HDSA Scorecard. We need to be satisfied that the money spent will result in one or more Previously Disadvantaged Individual becoming able to provide for themselves.
